YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Navigate Parenting with Compassionate, Licensed Therapists

Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it can also be one of the most challenging. Every stage of a child’s development brings new questions, changing needs, and situations that can leave parents feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or uncertain about the best way to respond. Seeking support doesn’t mean you’re failing as a parent. It means you’re committed to helping your child and family thrive.

You may be navigating behavioral concerns, communication difficulties, emotional outbursts, parenting disagreements, or major life transitions that are affecting your family. At Genesis Counseling, we provide Parenting Support that helps parents build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop practical strategies for raising emotionally healthy children while creating a more connected home environment.

We offer therapy in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach, Pembroke Pines, Pompano Beach, and Wellington, as well as virtual therapy throughout Florida.

OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE

Signs You May Benefit from Parenting Support

Every family faces challenges, but ongoing stress or conflict may indicate that additional support could be helpful.

You may notice:

  • Frequent power struggles with your child
  • Difficulty setting or maintaining healthy boundaries
  • Feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to respond to challenging behaviors
  • Ongoing conflict between parents regarding parenting approaches
  • Communication difficulties within the family
  • Concerns about your child’s emotional or behavioral well-being
  • Parenting stress affecting your own mental health
  • Difficulty navigating major family transitions

Parenting support provides guidance that can help reduce stress while strengthening family relationships.

When It May Be Time to Seek Parenting Support

Parenting support can be beneficial at any stage of your child’s development. Therapy provides practical tools that help families address challenges before they become long-term patterns while building healthier communication and stronger relationships.

Support may be helpful if:

  • Parenting challenges feel increasingly overwhelming
  • Communication with your child has become difficult
  • Behavioral concerns are creating ongoing family stress
  • You want additional tools to support your child’s emotional development

What to Expect from Parenting Therapy

Parenting support focuses on understanding your family’s unique dynamics while providing realistic, evidence-based strategies that can be applied in everyday situations. Sessions offer a safe space to discuss concerns, explore parenting approaches, and build confidence in managing difficult situations.

Depending on your family’s needs, therapy may include Parent-Child Conflict strategies, communication skills, behavior management techniques, emotional regulation tools, and parent coaching. Families navigating significant behavioral challenges may also benefit from our Behavioral Issues services, while parents supporting children with emotional difficulties may find additional support through Emotional Regulation therapy.

Our therapists work collaboratively with parents to develop practical solutions that strengthen family relationships while supporting each child’s emotional growth and development.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I choose the right therapist?

Finding the right therapist is essential for a successful therapy experience. At Genesis Counseling, our Intake Team carefully matches clients with a therapist based on their presenting concerns, goals, and preferences. Our therapists have diverse specialties, credentials, and training to ensure personalized care for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. We offer therapy at our Coral Springs, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Palm Aire Pompano and Wellington locations, as well as virtual therapy across Florida. With flexible appointment times from 8 AM to 8 PM, we strive to accommodate your schedule.

What should I expect in my first therapy session?

Your first session at Genesis Counseling is an intake appointment, where your therapist will gather important background information to better understand your needs. Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or your family, this session will focus on:

1. Discussing your history and what led you to seek therapy.
2. Identifying your concerns and goals for treatment.
3. Developing a personalized treatment plan to guide your progress.
4. Confirming scheduling and session frequency moving forward.

Our therapists create a safe, supportive environment to help you feel comfortable sharing your experiences.

Does Genesis offer virtual therapy or telehealth sessions?

Yes! Genesis Counseling offers HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families across Florida. All of our licensed therapists provide secure and confidential telehealth sessions, allowing you to receive high-quality mental health care from the comfort of your home.

During your intake scheduling, our team will provide all the necessary information on how to access virtual sessions. Telehealth is a convenient option for those with busy schedules, transportation challenges, or a preference for remote care.

Does Genesis provide sliding-scale payment options?

We understand that financial circumstances vary. Select providers within our practice may offer reduced-fee or sliding scale counseling services based on availability and individual circumstances.

If cost is a concern, please contact our office to discuss available options. We are committed to helping clients access the mental health support they need.

Does Parenting Support mean my child will attend therapy?

Not always. Some sessions focus primarily on helping parents develop effective strategies, while others may include children or the entire family depending on your goals.

Can Parenting Support help with challenging behaviors?

Yes. Parenting Support provides practical tools for responding to behavioral challenges, improving communication, and strengthening your relationship with your child.

Is Parenting Support only for parents of young children?

No. Parenting Support can benefit parents of children, teenagers, and even young adults as family relationships continue to evolve.

Does Genesis Counseling accept insurance?

Genesis Counseling accepts many major insurance plans to help make therapy and mental health services more accessible.
